The extra rainfall this year has kept the ponds full and the grass green as we watch beautiful changes into Fall foliage.
Pygmy Goat buckling born with lip prints on his forehead. We named him kiss, of course.
Pygmy Goat doeling, Dazzle. Her buckling twin is Razzle.
The Deer seem very comfortable with our presence even in a noisy farm truck.
Three doelings, Sparkle, Twinkle, and Velvet, resting after romping with the other kids.
Razzle resting in a warm and dry sunny spot after his bottle and away from the others.
After running around chasing and butting heads they are ready to rest where they stop.
Put out a new bale of hay and they try to "browse" for the best. Young doeling Velvet is mimicking her mom to the right, Lisa. It is interesting to watch the little ones learn how to eat. When we bottle feed, we try to only keep them in the house long enough to be sure they have a grip on life and then return them to the goat pen to learn to be a goat. Each morning, midday, and late night for several weeks we will make the trip to the barnyard to bottle feed until the kid is weaning age.
Birthday for Sparkle and Twinkle. Mom, Sweet Potato, takes a well deserved rest.
Sparkle and Twinkle stop at play to figure out if the camera is something they should fear or play on.
Birthday for Razzle and Dazzle. Their mom, Stormy, is a cautious mother.
